IFK had two home games last week, the first one being against Ilves on Tuesday. IFK defeated Ilves 3-1 and Kevin Lankinen, who made 29 saves, was excellent in net. Mikael Johansson scored the first goal for IFK with a shot from a sharp angle on the power play. Teemu Eronen scored the game-winning goal after he skated well with the puck, got to the net and scored with a great backhand shot. Roope Hintz added another power play goal in the third period with assists from Thomas Nykopp and Miro Heiskanen.
Two key forwards, Juhamatti Aaltonen and Arttu Luttinen, returned to the line-up for Friday's home game against TPS. IFK lost the third game of the week 1-2 to HPK in Hämeenlinna. HPK scored the first goal but IFK forward Juhamatti Aaltonen tied the game in the first period.
